Health & Safety

When camping, it is essential to prioritize health and safety to ensure a fun and enjoyable experience. Proper planning, risk management, and emergency preparedness can help prevent accidents and injuries while promoting a culture of safety.

Scouts who learn to prioritize their health and safety while camping will not only have a more enjoyable time, but they will also develop essential life skills. They will learn to identify and manage potential hazards, communicate effectively in emergency situations, and make responsible decisions about their own well-being.

By emphasizing health and safety during camping trips, scouts can build confidence, resilience, and a sense of independence. They will also learn to appreciate and care for the natural world, developing a deep connection to the environment and their fellow campers.

It is required to update Annual Health and Medical Records yearly. For Longterm/Summer Camp & High Adventure Trips a Physician must complete a physical prior to attending camp.
