  • The protection of youth is the primary obligation of every individual involved in the BSA — including leaders, parents, members, and professionals.

    The BSA has been and will continue to be vigilant in creating barriers that help prevent abuse and educating those involved in Scouting to recognize and report child abuse regardless of where it occurs.

    Steps to Reporting Child Abuse

    1. Ensure the child is in a safe environment.

    2. In cases of child abuse injury or medical emergencies, call 911 immediately.

    3. Notify the Scout executive or his/her designee, if he/she cannot be reached call the 24/7 Scouts First Helpline at 1-844-726-8871 or email, scoutsfirst@scouting.org

    4. Notify the St. Clare Parish Officer
